HOOKD Studio was built on a single frustration: the market is flooded with commodity art. Stock-driven. Template-made. Algorithmically safe. The kind of print you've seen in a hundred hotel rooms, a thousand Instagram feeds and remembered in none of them.
We couldn't find art that reflected the way we actually see the world. The collision of east and west. The tension between nostalgia and the future. The detail-obsession of a designer. The cultural curiosity of someone who's lived on four continents and noticed that the most interesting things happen at the edges, where aesthetics meet, where traditions cross, where something unexpected gets made.
So we built HOOKD around one idea: a focused catalog of original works, made to the highest standard we can achieve, and produced fresh for every order.
What We Make
Every piece in the HOOKD catalog is designed with a specific wall, mood, and space in mind. The subject matter ranges. The standard doesn't.
We print on 200gsm heavyweight fine art paper using giclée, a professional inkjet process used by galleries and museums to reproduce work with exceptional color accuracy and longevity. Archival-grade inks. UV-resistant. Rated to last well beyond your lifetime, let alone your lease.
We don't offer 47 sizes. We offer four: 9×12, 12×16, 18×24, and 24×32 because those are the sizes that actually work on real walls in real rooms. Every master file is produced at 300 DPI high resolution, so every print in every size is as sharp as it needs to be.
What We Won't Do
We don't print on cheap paper to hit a price point. We don't rush fulfillment, every order is made fresh, not pulled from a shelf. And we don't pretend any of this is more than it is: carefully made art, sold honestly, priced to reflect what it actually costs to do it right.
Who We Are
HOOKD was founded by a Creative Director with over 15 years in advertising, across four continents. That background in craft, in culture, in understanding what makes something visually arresting shapes every curation decision we make.
We believe the right piece of art doesn't just complete a room. It shifts the mood of it. It says something about the person who chose it. It earns its place on the wall.
HOOKD is for people who buy art they love, not art that's safe. People who'd rather live with one piece that means something than ten that mean nothing.
